The manuscript
of the Oral and Poster presentations will be published as a special
issue of Nuclear Instruments and Methods. The contribution should be
given at the conference desk not later than Wednesday 10th,
18h. We need :
- Two good copies of manuscript + figures (1
for NIM, 1 for conference referees),
- One set of good quality figure material (1
figure per A4 page)
- A disk, containing the electronic version
of text and figures identical to the paper copies. It
is the responsibility of the authors to ensure that the version on
disk exactly matches the hard copies.
The rules for preparing the manuscript
and figures, as given by NIM publisher and completed by the conference
editors, are given below.
|
Manuscript preparation
- The length of the papers for a standard talk
and for poster should not exceed 4 NIM pages all included. For
Invited talks and Keynotes the limit is 6 NIM pages.
- We propose to write all manuscript using a
recent version of Word.
- For the formatting of your paper, you have
two alternatives :
- Use the template proposed by NIM :
Elsevier.dot.
If you don't want to integrate your figures in the text, take
them into account for the page counting.
- Use free formatting with preferably
: single column pages in "times", size 10,
with 1.5 line spacing 2.5 cm wide margins.
In this case, the first page should only contain the article
title, author names and affiliations, the text of related
footnotes and the text of the abstract. The table and figures as
well as table and figure captions should be on separate sheets
at the end of the paper. In these conditions, the manuscript
should not exceed 5 text pages including the front page. A maximum of 5 figures (including photographs) and 2 tables will
be accepted.
- The name of the contact author should be
indicated with his full postal address, telephone, fax and e-mail in
footnote of the first page.
- Up to six keywords of the author's choice
can be given below the abstract.
-
Please give 3-5 PACS codes. The PACS codes can
be found at:
http://www.aip.org/pacs/index.html or
http://www.elsevier.com/wps/find/journaldescription.cws_home/505701/authorinstructions
- Tables should have a sufficiently detailed
caption to explain the data displayed in it.
- References in the text to other publications
should be numbered consecutively within square brackets and listed
together at the end of the text.
- Formulae in the manuscript should be clearly
written or typed with particular consideration given to characters
that may be misinterpreted. Unusual symbols should be explained in
pencil in the margin.
-
